Toyota unveils the new Fortuner in the Thai market. The new Toyota Fortuner looks sportier than the model currently available in the market. It gets a new and more powerful diesel engine of 2.8-litre . It features multiple styling elements on the exterior.
The new 2.8-litre diesel engine is has torque of 500NM and can generate maximum power output of 204 hp. Though the new Fortuner gets a more powerful engine than its predecessor, the fuel efficiency is expected to be the same figure of 13.9 kmpl.
As the changes in the exterior, the new model gets a revised front bumper, a large mesh-pattern front grille and LED headlights with LED DRLS. Along with these changes it also gets a new design for the 18-inch alloy wheels and slimmer looking LED tail lights
The ‘Legender’ looks more stylish and sportier from the base variant with dual-tone paint schemes. The gloss-black elements is incorporated into the boot lid and the rear bumper, 20-inch alloy wheels. The ‘Legender’ also packs in a split grille, dual LED projector headlights, a diverse front bumper design that holds LED turn indicators.
Talking about the features the new Fortuner gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Apple CarPlay compatibility . It also gets 8-way power-adjustable driver and co-driver’s seats and wireless smartphone charging, 9-speaker JBL audio system. For safety, it has collision prevention system, 360-degree camera. New Fortuner gets “Variable Flow Control”, which varies the steering stiffness based on its speed. Furthermore, being the top-end model, the Legender gets a larger touchscreen of 9.0-inch. It also gets ‘Toyota Safety Sense’ ; which adds a lane departure warning, collision prevention system and radar-guided dynamic cruise control.
Fortuner is available in Dark Blue Mica, Emotional Red, White Pearl CS, Silver Metallic, Dark Grey Metallic and Attitude Black Mica.
It rivals the all new Ford Endeavour. The launch date of the new Fortuner is still unknown in Nepalese and Indian market
