Toyota Recalls 6500 Units of Glanza

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has issued notice to recall 6500 Glanza in India. The reason behind the recall is the faulty fuel pumps of the hatchback.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor issued that “In the interest of its customers, the company has decided to proactively recall the vehicles for replacement of the concerned part, free of charge to customers,”. The announcement was soon made after Maruti Suzuki made an announcement to recall over 1.3 lakh units of Baleno and Wagon R. The Baleno and Wangon R are also recalled due to the issue with the faulty fuel pump. The notice was not surprising as Glanza is rebadged version of Maruti Suzuki Baleno ; and Maruti has already issued a notice for recall of Baleno.

As per Toyota, the Glanza which were manufactured between 2nd April 2019 and 6th October 2019 will be recalled. The company dealers will contact all the owners of the Glanza with the reported issue and faulty fuel pumps will be replaced free of cost .
