Hyundai Kona Facelift Revealed Along with New N Line Variant

Hyundai has unveiled the new facelifted version of its electric subcompact SUV Kona and a sporty Kona N Line variant.

The facelifted version gets a chunky bumper that integrates with the front wheel arch cladding, unique headlights and stretched bonnet. The new version gets sharper looks with the thin LED DRLs.

Talking about the differences in the new Kona is its 40 mm longer than the outgoing model. Also, people will get five new exterior colours to choose from; also additional dual tone options where the roof is painted black. It gets 16-inch, 17-inch and 18-inch wheel options.

N Line Variant gets larger air intakes, body coloured claddings, new mesh grill design. The N Line variant also gets diffuser at rear and single sided double muffler. In addition to these, N Line gets 18-inch alloy wheels.

Talking about the engine options, Kona gets a 1.6-litre T-GDI Smartstream motor (198 PS) with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. Also, the 2021 Hyundai Kona facelift will also be available as a hybrid vehicle. It gets a 1.6-litre Smartstream diesel (136 PS) with 48-volt mild hybrid tech which is connected to a 6 speed iMT or a DCT and 1.0-litre T-GDI Smartstream petrol (120 PS) which can be had with mild hybrid tech and iMT.

Interior wise, it gets 10.25-inch digital cluster, circular two air vents, 10.25-inch infotainment screen with multiple new connectivity features including, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and the latest Blue Link upgrade. Apart from regular variants, the N Line features, black only interior is in, with red stitching, N logos and metal pedals.

Based on the variants, Kona will be available in 2WD or 4WD option whereas the N Line will be available with 1.6 T-GDI 4WD option.
